The Fifth Quarter talks ugly football, busted shoulders and playoff battles

Lions QB Travis Lulay talks about injury; practice video; stand-upWas that 7-5 Leos win in Ottawa the worst game you’ve ever seen?

Let’s move on shall we, there’s more important stuff to attend to – like, this is Kevin Glenn’s team now.

Accept it. Travis Lulay is done for the season, maybe his career.

Will Kevin Glenn survive? That offensive line continues to leak and is, without a shadow of a doubt, the biggest problem facing the Lions’ future success. Led by the likes of Solomon Eliminian and Adam Bighill, the defence has dominated, kept them in games – now the offence, come hell or high water, needs to sort itself out.

Lowell Ullrich and Patrick Johnston look ahead to Saturday’s game at home vs the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, which LU points out is as big a must-win playoff placement game as they come.

In a West division that is so loaded, finishing a hair ahead of Winnipeg in 4th may end up being a very good thing.
