That also means it’s Steve Ewen time again. Jonathan calls him Legendary. He’s probably right.
Anyway, Steve’s here because, well the Giants have a couple big tie-ins this weekend.
First of all, there’s the legendary teddy bear toss tonight at the Coliseum. It’s a great scene to see all those bears go flying over the boards when the Gmen get their first goal, but it does leave one wondering – what happens when there’s a shutout of the home team?
Also, what’s the best way to throw a bear? How do you pick a bear?
Big issues, right?
The other Gians tie-in is Milan Lucic. The ex-captain of the Renfrew boys is back in town with the Bruins for the first time since winning the Stanley Cup in 2011. That’s a long time. As Jonathan keeps pointing out – thank goodness for this home and home schedule. It’s crazy the B’s haven’t been here in two and a half years. Lets hope that never happens again.
It’s a big game on Saturday, we don’t need to tell you that, but will it mean the Canucks look past the Oilers tonight?
We talk so much about the Canucks-Oilers narrative, the Kassian-Gagner story seems a bit lost. Well, we’ll see if anything happens tonight.
