Paul and Ed on the Canucks’ development gameplan

Vancouver Canucks' Jake Virtanen (18) checks Edmonton Oilers' Darnell Nurse (25) during second period NHL pre-season action in Edmonton, Alta., on Saturday October 8, 2016. The Canucks sent forward Virtanen to the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. They wonder what the Canucks gameplan is. Are they really up for developing young players? Or is a desperate coach, unwilling to live with mistakes from rookies, filling his lineup with plumbers to save his job. No disrespect to any plumbers who want to listen.

They also wonder why the Canucks are always on the wrong side of NHL judgment, and from national media treatment, with both Ed and Paul having theories as to why the Canucks are in the position they’re in.

The lads then turn talk to the BC Lions and what to expect from the West Semi-Final.
How did the Lions turn their prospects around so quickly, and will this year start bringing the fans back.

Finally the U.S. Election has to be in the conversation, but through the lens of sports as reaction from lockerrooms and front offices gives us plenty to ponder on this side of the border.
Join Ed and Paul every Friday as they talk about the biggest issues in local and national sports.
