The disaster of a road trip is almost at an end.
We feared it might go like this — but you never quite believe it actually will. The Canucks have lost 8 in a row. Will they make an even 10? Does it even matter?
Steve Ewen joins Patrick Johnston to look at the way forward. That’s clear as mud of course. There are few examples from Canucks history which might be instructive. Maybe the fiasco that was 1997-98, where Mark Messier came in, the team fell apart, Trevor Linden was traded, Pat Quinn was fired, Tom Renney was fired too, Mike Keenan took over…and managed to bring in Todd Bertuzzi and Bryan McCabe.
Maybe there’s a silver bullet out there?
Plus, what about Nolan Patrick? Steve wrote about the young centre, who’s battling injury. He’s the prize of next year’s draft. Yes, we’re already talking about next year’s draft.
And the Giants seem to be finding some focus and with that, results.
Last, the Blue Jays are facing a very interesting off-season.
