Casual Tuesday: All aboard the Stecher train!

Arizona Coyotes' Luke Schenn, right, checks Vancouver Canucks' Troy Stecher during the third period of a pre-season NHL hockey game in Vancouver, B.C., on Monday October 3, 2016. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Darryl Dyck ORG XMIT: VCRD121 Lots of buzz about Troy Stecher this morning.

Steve Ewen was there, Patrick Johnston wants to know more about what putting the rookie on to the first pairing means about the club’s confidence in the abilities of the guys on the third pairing, Sbisa and Larsen, to play tougher minutes, and about what they think of Alex Biega (we already know the Tryamkin story).

It’s a big load for the kid, but it’s better than sitting him in the press box.

Plus the World Series is here; did you know Jason Kipnis went to high school with Steve Bartman.

And the Giants are chugging along, and are pulling in okay crowds. Steve gives an update on that.

Last, does Seattle have an NHL chance?
