Paul Chapman joins Spencer Kyte to talk about the landing spot of Fedor Emilianenko and what that means for the UFC. They get into if the organizations outside of UFC help or hurt the sport of MMA with their circus sideshow booking of names rather than being a legitimate track for talent trying to work their way up in the sport.
They also talk about the news developments around Jon Jones, and how that’s going to impact the upcoming Pay Per View Main Event between Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson, who both seem to have Jones on their mind.
In the Fight of the Week the talk turns to this weekend’s Fight Night event from Japan that features a couple of mid-range heavyweights, Roy Nelson and Josh Barnett in the main event.
Spencer is then joined by former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks as he prepares for his fight on the Cormier v Gustafsson card as the co-main event. Spencer and Hendricks talk about his path back to a title shot with Robbie Lawler, and how would he feel about fighting Rory MacDonald for the chance to get his trilogy fight with Lawler.
