Marijuana and AIDS

m-j_milloyM-J Malloy, PhD, is a UBC infectious disease epidemiologist, an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at UBC and a researcher into the therapeutic benefits of medical marijuana.

As a member of the world renowned BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, Malloy is the first researcher to determine that marijuana not only treats the symptons of AIDS but appears to help ward off the sometimes fatal disease.
